In detail
The old church is tastefully converted into two self-catering cottages - Kirkend is the larger of the two. The heart of this holiday cottage is the stunning open plan living and dining room with its original stained glass windows. It is in this area of the cottage that you will find a pot-bellied wood burning stove as well as a television, video player, radio/CD player and a wide selection of books.
There are two rooms off the living area: the spacious bathroom which consists of a bath, shower cubicle, toilet and basin; and the kitchen, which is well-equipped for your self-catering needs.
The staircase in the corner of the living room leads up to the first floor, where you will find a spacious double room, a twin room and a sleeping gallery under the original church roof beams.
The gardens can be accessed easily from Kirkend Cottage as the living room incorporates a pair of French doors which open onto the grounds at the rear of the property. |
